Anti-racism rallies held ahead of anniversary of Fyssas stabbing
Anti-racism rallies were held in Athens and several other Greek cities on Saturday evening ahead of the fifth anniversary of the killing of a leftist rapper by a member of the neofascist Golden Dawn.
The rallies concluded without reports of the clashes between leftist demonstrators and members of right-wing groups that the police had feared.
New objective values to soar outside Athens
The process of bringing Greece's taxable property rates (known as objective values) in line with actual market prices will lead to a considerable hike of between 20 and 40 percent for the vast majority of cities and regions outside the capital, according to proposals being submitted by surveyors.

Five neo-Nazi suspects tied to bombing of leftist squat
Counterterrorism officers are investigating the activities of five suspected neo-Nazis arrested on Thursday in connection with the bombing of a far-left squat in Piraeus last August.
Raids on the homes of the suspects, all aged 18 to 26, turned up knives and other weapons as well as flags bearing the Nazi swastika.

Next year's Single Property Tax (ENFIA) is evolving into a major problem for the government, as by May it will have to present Parliament with a bill including the new rates, as well as to decide which owners will bear the brunt of the load for 2018.

A sudden hail storm is causing problems in the centre of Athens. A new wave of extreme weather was forecast by meteorologists, who predicted Friday would see heavy rainfalls and storms from midday onwards in the capital.

The 4th anniversary of the murder of Greek rapper Pavlos Fyssas was marred by riots in Keratsini at the concert area in Piraeus port. Masked youth are on the perimeter of the area of Kastraki where the concert is being held, opposite gate E2 at the port.
Golden Dawn trial resumes after summer recess
Almost four years after the September 18, 2013, murder of rapper Pavlos Fyssas by a self-confessed member of Golden Dawn, the trial into the far-right party's alleged criminal activities resumed after the summer recess at a specially designed court in Korydallos Prison on Tuesday.

Trireme Olympias on show at Zea marina in Piraeus
On-duty crew members stand on the deck of the Olympias, a reproduction of an ancient Athenian trireme, after it anchored at the Zea marina in Piraeus on Wednesday. The Olympias was constructed in 1985 and was mainly used for experimental archaeology trips until 2004, when it was used to transfer the Olympic Flame from Keratsini to Piraeus for the Athens Games.

Golden Dawn supporter who verbally attacked slain rapper's mother identified
A 50-year-old man was identified on Friday as the person who hurled insults about the slain rapper Pavlos Fyssas during disruptions at the trial of Golden Dawn in Athens last month.
Fights broke out between Golden Dawn supporters and anarchists in the courtroom on February 14 and the 50-year-old shouted, "Where is your Pavlos now?" at the slain rapper's mother, Magda Fyssa.
Belgian man robbed at knifepoint by hosts in Greece
Three Pakistani nationals were arrested on Wednesday by authorities in Piraeus for robbing a 39-year-old Belgian man at knifepoint.
The victim told police that he knew one of the culprits, who had invited him to Greece to stay at his home.
