Streets to close in Kifissia on Sunday for race
Motorists are advised to avoid the northern Athenian suburb of Kifissia on Sunday morning, as many key streets will be closed down for a race.
The Traffic Police on Thursday said that key stretches on Kifissias Avenue, Harilaou Trikoupi, Tatoiou, Ekalis and Ethnikis Antistaseos, among many others, would be closed off to traffic.

Ex-finance minister faces new charges
A corruption prosecutor on Thursday lodged charges of making a false statement against former socialist finance minister Yiannos Papantoniou and his wife Stavroula Kourakou, and also charged two officials at a tax office in Kifissia, northern Athens, for issuing them with a declaration allowing them to sell a property on the island of Syros without settling their existing tax debts.

Boy, 6, who fell off northern Athens balcony dies
A 6-year-old boy who fell from the fourth-floor balcony of his family home in Kifissia, northern Athens, on Saturday died of his injuries late on Sunday.
After initially being rushed to KAT hospital, the 6-year-old was transferred to the capital's Aglaia Kyriakou Children's Hospital but medics were unable to save him.
