Man convicted for forcing female hostage into sex, work
A Thessaloniki court on Friday imposed a 10-year sentence on a 43-year-old Bulgarian man found guilty of having kept a female compatriot aged 26 hostage in a container in Kilkis, northern Greece.
The man held her for three months, during which time he forced her to do farming work during the day and raped her at night.
Brothers seen behind robbery gang in Kilkis and Kavala
Two brothers aged 51 and 53, as well as third suspect, aged 35, have reportedly been identified by police in the northern Greek town of Kilkis as being behind at least 10 robberies that netted them more than 40,000 euros in valuables and cash.

Fire causes damage, fuels upheaval at Nea Kavala migrant center
A fire broke out at a reception center for migrants in Nea Kavala, Kilkis, in northern Greece, on Monday morning, causing damage but no injuries and fuelling upheaval on the premises.
According to sources, the fire broke out in an area of the facility which was being used as a makeshift school for young refugees.
Quake, 4.7, hits Kilkis
A 4.7 Richter earthquake hit the town of Kilkis, in northern Greece, early on Saturday.
According to the Athens Geodynamic Institute, the tremor's epicenter was located 18 kilometers west of the town.
Several aftershocks followed the initial tremor, though there were no reports of injuries or damage.

Man faces charges human trafficking, rape charges
A 42-year-old Bulgarian man is facing charges of human trafficking and rape after allegedly keeping a 25-year-old Bulgarian woman in a shipping container against her will and repeatedly raping her.
Authorities said the victim had agreed to work with the suspect doing farm work near Kilkis, in northern Greece, but he withheld her wages and held her captive.

4.0 magnitude earthquake rocks Kilkis
A 4.0 magnitude earthquake hit the province of Kilkis, in central Macedonia, Wednesday morning. According to the Athens Geodynamic Institute, the tremor struck at approximately 11am, following less intense earthquake at 9.38am. Its epicentre was located at 13km west and northwest of Kilkis at a depth of 5klm.
