Croats win: Belgrade's largest indoors venue to be renamed

The naming rights sponsorship over the Belgrade Arena (Kombank Arena) will be granted to Croatia-based Atlantic Grupa (Group), the city has announced.

The Serbian capital's largest indoors sports and conference venue will thus for the next five years be known as the Stark Arena - after the Serbia-based company Stark (Soko Stark), which is now owned by Atlantic Grupa.

Red Star beat Cedevita to claim third consecutive ABA league title

ZAGREB - Red Star Belgrade have won their third consecutive title in the basketball ABA League by defeating Cedevita Zagreb 77-61 (22-18, 24-21, 19-19, 12-13) on the road in late Thursday's third game of the play-off final series, sweeping the Croatian team 3-0.

Red Star have thus secured a Euroleague spot next season.

BELGRADE - Red Star Belgrade are a step away from defending their title in the regional basketball ABA league after beating Cedevita Zagreb 84-73 (29-18, 28-16, 15-16, 12-23) at home late Tuesday to take a 2-0 lead in the play-off final series.

The reigning champions had a 23-point lead at one point in the game.

Red Star take 1-0 lead in ABA league play-off final series

BELGRADE - Red Star Belgrade beat Cedevita Zagreb 81-66 (16-27, 29-17, 21-10, 15-12) at home in Monday's opening game of the play-off final series of the basketball ABA league.

In a confident display at a packed Aleksandar Nikolic Hall, the reigning champions overcame a 15-point deficit to win the first victory in their bid to defend the title.

Cedevita beat Partizan to advance to ABA League final

ZAGREB - Partizan Belgrade have failed to reach the final of the basketball ABA league play-offs after losing 87-78 (20-14, 27-22, 22-27, 18-15) to Cedevita Zagreb on the road in the third game of their semi-final series.

The Croatian champions will face the winner of the other semi-final series between Red Star Belgrade and Buducnost Podgorica, which will become known on Tuesday.
