Daniel Day Lewis retires from acting!
Oscar-winning actor Sir Daniel Day-Lewis, who starred in Gangs of New York and Last of the Mohicans, has retired.
A statement issued through the 60-year-old star’s agent said he “will no longer be working as an actor”.
It said it was a “private decision” and he was “immensely grateful to all of his collaborators and audiences”.

Veteran actor John Hurt has died aged 77, his agent has said.
The Bafta-winning star, known for his roles in Alien and The Elephant Man, had been treated for pancreatic cancer in 2015.
He recently starred as Father Richard McSorley in Jackie, the biopic of President John F. Kennedy’s wife.

London's Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in Ljubljana next month
