The idea of EARL stems from collaboration between two members of the University of Ljubljana: the Faculty of Social Sciences and the Faculty of Arts, particularly its Department of Asian Studies. The project has been in the works for at least two years now, since the signing of an agreement by the two collaborators.
Suspect in Santa Fe school shooting of Greek extraction
The suspect in a deadly high school shooting in Santa Fe, Texas, which has so far left at least 10 people dead has been identified as a 17-year-old of Greek extraction, according to news agencies.
Authorities have reportedly detained two people, one of which is Dimitrios Pagourtzis, believed to be a student at the school.
Women farmers becoming more educated, report shows
The education level of women farmers has risen significantly in recent years, according to a report commissioned by the General Secretariat of Gender Equality.
More specifically, 35.3 percent completed secondary education, compared with 13.2 percent in 1998, 18 percent in 2003 and 26.6 percent in 2008, and 4 percent have university degrees, compared with just 1 percent in 1998.

Hackers attempt to "silence" Tanjug from Serbian-based IP addresses
BELGRADE - The Tanjug News Agency has since Tuesday been targeted by intensive hacker attacks from over 50 different IP addresses.
The attacks are aimed at taking down the agency's IT system through its website and at rendering Tanjug unable to operate and making its services unavailable to media and other subscribers.
