The "Koç University Rahmi M. Koç Medal of Science," which was initiated by Koç University to serve science by rewarding successful and pioneering scientists, was awarded this year to Professor Ali Hortaçsu.

Turkey’s Arçelik secures 150 mln euros EBRD loan for green manufacturing
Turkish home appliance manufacturer Arçelik said on Nov. 9 it has secured a €150 million ($173.9 million) loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for green manufacturing.
The loan, which will support a three-year environmentally sustainable investment program, will come in two parts.
'Anamorphosis Atatürk' on display at Rahmi Koç Museum
An artwork titled "Anamorphosis Atatürk," made by Czech sculptor Patrik Prosko with the contributions of Temmer Marble, will be on display at the Rahmi M. Koç Museum from Oct. 29.
The artwork, prepared by the combination of 539 pieces from 93 different themes, symbolizes the life and values of the founder of the Turkish Republic, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.
Ford invests $67.5 mln to make Turkey’s first domestic gearbox
Ford Otosan, a joint venture of Turkey's Koç Holding and U.S. automotive giant Ford, has unveiled Turkey's first domestically-developed gearbox at its plant in the Central Anatolian province of Eskişehir.
Otokar wins major bus contract in Amman
Turkey's leading bus manufacturer Otokar has won a major bus tender in Jordan.
According to the contract, Otokar will manufacture and export 136 buses, including 100 Vectio models and 36 Kent models, for the transportation needs of the Amman municipality.

Carmakers dominate Turkey's top exporters list
Accounting for half of the top 10 companies, automotive firms have dominated Turkey's list of largest exporters, the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) announced on Sept. 18.
Ford was named Turkey's largest exporter in 2020, followed by Toyota Engine Manufacturing Turkey and Oyak Renault.
