Bulgarian Socialist Leader Kornelia Ninova Resigns

Kornelia Ninova has resigned as leader of the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP), taking full responsibility for the party's election results, Focus News Agency reports. Ninova announced her decision today, opening the meeting of the party's National Council. She said that a congress should be convened to launch a procedure for direct election of party leader. 

BSP Wants Leaders of the Parliament Parties to Meet on 6-8 December and Discuss General Political Actions

The Bulgarian Socialist Party chairman Kornelia Ninova has invited the leaders of the parliamentary parties to meet on 6-8 December 2017, BGNES reported.

"I propose to discuss general political and legislative actions related to privatization, restitution, concessions, public procurement and the role of" force groups "during the transition years," wrote Ninova in the letter.

''The report under the Cooperation and Verification Mechanism (CVM) is a serious blow to Bulgaria'', the leader of Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP), Korneliya Ninova, commented for BTV this morning, citing leaked information last night.

In her words, the European Commission could not come to a conclusion that any of the requirements was fully met.
