EU Says Boycotted North Kosovo Elections ‘Offer no Long-Term Solution’
The European Union on Monday criticised the elections held on Sunday in mainly Serbian north Kosovo, saying the very low turnout meant they offered no "long-term solution" to the crisis in the north.

Arrested Russian UNMIK Staffer Leaves Kosovo for Serbia
A Russian member of the UN Mission in Kosovo who was injured while being arrested in a police operation in northern Kosovo on Tuesday has been sent to hospital in Serbia, UNMIK confirmed on Thursday.
Mikhail Krasnoshchenkov was sent to Belgrade from the Intensive Care Center in North Mitrovica, where he was being treated, UNMIK added.

The mayor of the southern half of the divided Kosovo town of Mitrovica, Agim Bahtiri, has called an urgent meeting of the local assembly to amend the law on reunifying the city, following the resignation of his Serbian counterpart in the north of town.

Now Albanian wants to become mayor of "united" K. Mitrovica
According to the northern-Kosovo based KoSSev website, Bahtiri is proposing that he should govern a "united (Kosovska Mitrovica."
"I demand that the Kosovo government take all the necessary legal actions to immediately abolish the decision to divide Mitrovica into two municipalities," Bahtiri wrote on his Facebook profile.

Kosovo Govt Frets as Montenegro Border Deal Vote Nears
