Police have offered 10,000 euro reward for information after Pista was shot in the back several times in the early hours of Sunday morning when he was leaving a restaurant in Rahovec/Orahovac.

The motive for the killing is so far unclear.

Prime Minister Thaci has said that his governing Democratic Party of Kosovo, PDK, has a right to form the next government of Kosovo, as it won the most votes in the recent general election.

Thaci's Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) won Sunday's early parliamentary elections with 30% of the vote, but would need support of smaller parties in order to form a government.

Reports: Haradinaj to be new Kosovo PM

PRIŠTINA -- According to media reports, the new prime minister of Kosovo will be Ramush Haradinaj, leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo.

This came after opposition parties managed to reach an agreement in the wake of Sunday's early elections for the assembly in Priština.

Agim Veliu, from the Democratic League of Kosovo, said the LDK, Ramush Haradinaј’s Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, AAK, and Fatmir Limaj’s Nisma per Kosoven [Initiative for Kosovo] had agreed to unite to form a new government in Kosovo.

PRISTINA - Kosovo's Central Electoral Commission (CEC) late Monday announced the preliminary results of the early legislative elections, not including the votes of displaced persons - Hasim Taci's Democratic Party of Kosovo (DPK) won the polls, while the Srpska list received 4.18 percent of the votes.
