Another K. Albanian held on war crimes warrant freed

Serbian authorities have released Hilmi Kelmendi after detaining him last Friday on a war crimes arrest warrant.

Kelmendi, suspected of committing war crimes in Kosovo, was arrested while entering Serbia from Croatia. Beta is quoting the KTV broadcaster that reported his lawyer Sead Spahovic confirmed his release.

Nihat Thaci released, investigation against him halted

BELGRADE - The Serbian Prosecutor's Office for Organised Crime has halted an investigation against Kosovo Police director Nihat Thaci, who was released on Tuesday, Tanjug has learned.

Thaci had been in custody since his September 28 arrest pursuant to an order issued by the High Court in Nis in 2010.

Kosovo Urged to Protect Journalist after Death Threats

International media freedom organisation Reporters Without Borders on Wednesday called on the Kosovo authorities to protect Leonard Kerquki, editor-in-chief of tabloid newspaper Gazeta Express, after a television documentary he produced about crimes against Serbs attracted a series of death threats.
