BELGRADE - Commenting on the latest beating of a Kosovo-Metohija Serb by Pristina's police, the head of the Serbian government Office for Kosovo-Metohija Petar Petkovic said on Monday beatings and arrests of Serbs were evidently "values" that were a "recommendation" for the so-called Kosovo's Council of Europe (CoE) admission.

BRUSSELS - The EU special envoy for the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue Miroslav Lajcak has announced he would host a meeting of the chief negotiators of Belgrade and Pristina later this week in a bid to find a temporary solution for people affected by Pristina's decision to ban the Serbian dinar in Kosovo-Metohija.

BELGRADE - The head of the Serbian government Office for Kosovo-Metohija Petar Petkovic met with UNMIK chief Caroline Ziadeh in Belgrade on Friday to discuss an upcoming UN Security Council session on Kosovo-Metohija and the permanently difficult position of Serbs in the province, drastically worsened by Pristina's most recent unilateral moves.

BELGRADE - Serbian FM Ivica Dacic spoke with Ghanaian counterpart Shirley Ayorkor Botchway in Belgrade on Thursday, thanking her for Ghana's support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia regarding Kosovo-Metohija.

ATHENS - Quoting unnamed diplomatic sources, the Greek news agency ANA reports that Greece's position on Serbia and the so-called Kosovo remains completely unchanged.

"There has been no change of attitude, nor do we intend for there to be a change of attitude," the sources were quoted as saying.

BELGRADE - Serbian First Deputy PM and FM Ivica Dacic said on Wednesday that, 11 years after the signing of the Brussels Agreement, Pristina had still not established a Community of Serb Municipalities.

BELGRADE - The head of the Serbian government Office for Kosovo-Metohija Petar Petkovic said on Tuesday the 1999 Battle of Kosare represented one of the most difficult battles for the Serbs and that "it is our sacred duty to never forget the heroes who gave their lives to defend freedom and Kosovo-Metohija."

BELGRADE - Serbian Minister of Internal and External Trade Tomislav Momirovic said on Tuesday he had written to the trade ministers of EU member states, the UK, the US and CEFTA to warn, for a third time in a year, that Pristina's ban on trade in Serbian goods remained in force in Kosovo-Metohija.

PARIS - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Tuesday in Paris his discussions with French President Emmanuel Macron last night about the Kosovo-Metohija issue had not been simple but that he believed Macron had understood Serbia's position.

SOFIA - The EU special envoy for the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue Miroslav Lajcak announced on Monday a new meeting of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue would be held in Brussels next week to discuss the use of the Serbian dinar in Kosovo-Metohija, and said he hoped an arrangement would be finalised based on the EU's ideas.
