Kosovo–Serbia relations

Delays will cost us too much, says Thaci

"We must bring about reciprocal recognition and good neighborly relations between Kosovo and Serbia," Thaci further stated.

This was his reaction on Twitter to former Swedish PM Carl Bildt saying that "whoever speaks of (border) correction is embracing a new wave of ethnic cleansing."

"Delays will cost us too much," Thaci stressed.

"Those who live in enclaves don't think it's part of Serbia"

But Pristina has some things that "must be dine," Dacic told Prva TV on Wednesday morning.

According to him, "there will no better time for resolving the Kosovo issue."

Dacic said that talks will be intensified in the next few months in an attempt to find a lasting solution for the status of Kosovo and Metohija.

He says there are two reasons for that.

"Kosovo will be debated in UN regardless of what UK wants"

He added that Kosovo would surely be debated in the council in the future, Beta agency reported.

Commenting on the decision by the United Kingdom, which holds the presidency of the UN Security Council in August, not to discuss Kosovo in August, Djuric described the decision as a diplomatic mobilization of those supporting Kosovo's independence.

Serb Recruitment to Kosovo Police 'Not Decreasing'

Despite reports that Serbs have been asking to leave the Kosovo Security Force amid an upsurge of political tensions between Belgrade and Pristina, the number of Serbs who want to join the Kosovo Police remains similar to 2014, the force said.

Kosovo Police told BIRN that in 2014, over 5 per cent of applicants were Serbs, "while this year there was around 5 per cent (4.91 per cent)".
