Kifissia or Kozani! Where do the richest Greeks live?
Ask most Greeks, and they’ll tell you that the richest Greeks live in Ekali, Kifisia or Filothei in the northern suburbs of Athens. The truth, according to data of the General Secretariat of Public Revenue, is that the wealthy Greeks of the Athens northern suburbs are constantly getting poorer. Hence, the new wealthy Greeks are in Kozani – northern Greece.

Two die in crash in northern Greece
A 35-year-old driver and his 19-year-old passenger died on Wednesday after their car veered off the old national highway between Kozani and Thessaloniki in northern Greece.
The vehicle crashed into a tree, inflicting fatal injuries on both the driver and his female passenger.

Smog warning issued in Western Macedonia
Authorities in Western Macedonia issued a warning on Tuesday about high smog levels in the region caused by the large number of households using fireplaces to keep warm.
According to regional authorities, atmospheric pollution in the municipalities of Kozani, Eordaia, Amyntaio and Florina have risen above the warning level.

Cold snap set to bring storms and snowfall
A cold snap that took hold over the weekend is to continue this week with storms expected in many parts and snowfall in the north and mountainous parts of the mainland.
Following several months of relatively mild weather, snow and sub-zero temperatures appeared across much of the north over the weekend, starting in Thessaloniki and spreading to central and western Macedonia.

3 Greek Nationals, 2 Bulgarians Arrested in Baby Trafficking Scheme
Five people, including three Greek nationals and two Bulgarians, have been arrested for baby trafficking in the northern town of Kozani
The arrests were made on suspicions that a 23-year-old Bulgarian, who had been admitted to hospital to give birth, was planning to sell the baby to a Greek couple.
