Bulgaria’s PM suggested that Slovenia join the Project for New Kozloduy NPP Reactors

Slovenia to join the project for the new reactors in the "Kozloduy" Nuclear Power Plant either as a buyer of energy or as an investor.

This is what Bulgarian Prime Minister Nikolai Denkov proposed to his Slovenian colleague Robert Golob at a bilateral meeting within the framework of the 18th Strategic Forum in the Slovenian city of Bled, reported the government information service.

Two children - aged 13 and 15, died in an accident last night on the road between the Kozloduy villages of Kriva Bara and Butan, reported the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Vratsa.

The accident happened around 1:30 a.m. A car hit a tree. It was driven by a 16-year-old who did not have a license.

Bulgaria will import parts and materials from Russia to ensure the safe operation of the Kozloduy NPP. At today's meeting, the government approved a derogation from the sanctions of the European Union, which prohibit the import of certain parts and materials from Russia because of the war in Ukraine.

Bulgaria: The Sixth Unit of the Kozloduy NPP has been Shut Down due to a Cooling Problem

On October 29 at 9 p.m., the sixth power unit of the Kozloduy NPP was disconnected from the country's electricity system, announced the staff of the plant. The reason is a technical problem in the cooling system of the generator - the non-nuclear part of the unit. There is no change in the radiation situation.
