SKOPJE -- The Macedonian police have published video footage of the operation they carried out in Kumanovo over the weekend when they "neutralized" a terrorist group.

Bulgaria can serve as an example of ethnic tolerance, Prime Minister Boyko Borisov said on Monday in comments on last week's clashes in neighbouring Macedonia that left at least 22 people dead.

Macedonia Violence Worries Balkan Neighbours
Kosovo's president and prime minister, Atifete Jahjaga and Isa Mustafa, expressed deep concern on Monday about the involvement of Kosovo citizens in gun battles with police in the Macedonian town of Kumanovo at the weekend.
Jahjaga and Mustafa said in a joint statement the violence was intended "to destabilise Kosovo and neighbouring countries by challenging peace and safety".

Skopje Court Orders 30-Day Detention for Armed Group Arrested in Kumanovo
A Skopje-based court has ordered 30-day detention for of all of the 30 members of the armed group arrested after Saturday's police operation in Kumanovo.
The Public Prosecution Office for organized crime and corruption, which is in charge of the investigation, completed the questionings of the 30 suspects on Monday.

BRUSSELS -- EU Commissioner Johannes Hahn on Monday "reiterated that everyone in the European Union is concerned about the situation in Macedonia."

Calm Returns to Devastated Macedonian Town
Locals were allowed to return to their homes in the Kumanovo neighborhood of Divo Naselje on Monday, after a weekend of heavy fighting left eight policemen dead and some 37 wounded. At least 14 gunmen were also killed.
