Are nationalists simpletons?

President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an recently said, "What do you call the Kurdish issue; there is no Kurdish issue." Immediately after he said this, political analysts presented their assumptions with their all-knowing attitude: "Hmm? He is playing to the nationalist votes before the elections."

Is he playing or is he not playing? I don't know.

What more do Kurds want, Erdo?an asks

Anticipation is growing about a breakthrough on the Kurdish issue this Nevruz amid intense talks between the government and militants, but President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an turned back the clock several years on March 15 to claim that Turkey does not have any ?Kurdish problem,? arguing that Kurds have equal rights with the rest of the country.

US envoy reiterates support for 'peace process '

U.S. Ambassador to Turkey John Bass has repeated that his country attaches importance and lends support to Turkey?s ongoing peace process aiming to end the three-decade old Kurdish insurgency.

?Peace will contribute to the region. We place importance on the peace process and lend support to it,? Anadolu Agency quoted Bass as saying on March 9.
