The Defense Ministry has announced the neutralization of three PKK/YPG terrorists who were reportedly preparing to launch an attack in the Euphrates Shield Operation region situated in northern Syria.

"We do not leave the terrorist attempts to attack unanswered," the ministry declared in a statement on Aug. 21.

Within the framework of an Adana-based investigation into the activities and sabotage linked to the terrorist organization PKK/KCK in forest fires, authorities have detained five individuals suspected of financing the organization, with one of them subsequently arrested.

Supporters of the terrorist organization PKK have defaced the exterior wall of a mosque in the German state of Lower Saxony, marking it with the organization's name.

Turkish security forces have "neutralized" a total of 995 PKK/YPG terrorists since the beginning of the year within the intensified operations, including ones conduced across the border in Iraq and northern Syria, the Defense Ministry has announced.

The National Security Council chaired by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has called upon Russia and Ukraine to swiftly end the war, emphasizing the potential adverse regional ramifications.

Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan emphasized Türkiye's pivotal position for the European Union to assume a prominent role on the global stage.

Türkiye has expressed strong condemnation over a recent act by the PKK terrorist organization in the Swedish capital Stockholm.

A total of 942 terrorists have been neutralized in various operations conducted by the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) since the beginning of the year, the Defense Ministry reported on July 3.

Forced to abandon their hometown 40 years ago due to PKK attacks, five families have returned to their village in the southeastern province of Şırnak after it was cleared of terrorism within the scope of the Interior Ministry's "Return to Village and Rehabilitation Project."

The Defense Ministry on July 30 reported that 12 PKK/YPG terrorists have been neutralized in northern Syria during a military operation in the region.
