Kuwait's Emir Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Sabah died on Saturday, aged 86, according to the royal court, after a three-year reign as his half brother Sheikh Meshal Al Ahmad Al Jaber takes over as Kuwait's new ruler.
Türkiye seeks to increase trade with Kuwait: Minister
Türkiye wants to increase the bilateral trade volume with Kuwait from its current level of around $1 billion, Trade Minister Ömer Bolat has said.

New air link to Athens from Kuwait this summer
Kuwait Airways intends to launch a new service linking the emirate with Athens as of this summer, Chairman Ali Al-Dukhan told a news conference on Thursday.
It forms part of the state airline's expansion in Europe that also concerns Barcelona, Berlin and Budapest, the carrier's chief stated. [Reuters]

Ministers start 3-day Gulf trip
Development and Investment Minister Adonis Georgiadis and Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Kostas Fragogiannis arrived in Kuwait on Sunday, the first day of a three-day tour of Gulf states as part of a policy of upgrading Greece's relations with them.
The two ministers will be in the region through Tuesday.

Kuwait bans ’Death on the Nile’ film with Israeli actress
Kuwait will ban a new film adaptation of Agatha Christie's whodunnit "Death on the Nile" with a cast of Hollywood stars including Israeli actress Gal Gadot, authorities said on Feb. 6.
The film, directed by and co-starring Kenneth Branagh, is due for release this month in the United States.

Kuwaiti plane departs from Turkey after bomb threat landing
A Kuwaiti passenger plane that made an emergency landing in Turkey due to a bomb threat departed for Kuwait after all checks were completed, authorities said on Oct. 7.
The Jazeera Airways flight with 51 passengers and six crew members landed in Trabzon at around 11:18 a.m. (0818GMT), according to İsmail Ustaoğlu, governor of the Black Sea province.
Erdoğan meets Kuwaiti foreign minister
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on April 8 met Kuwait's Foreign Minister Sheikh Ahmed Nasser al-Sabah.
The meeting at the presidential complex was closed to the press.
In a separate meeting, Turkey's Parliament Speaker Mustafa Şentop also met al-Sabah and a delegation accompanying him.

Top Turkish diplomat visits Oman amid Gulf tour
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu arrived evening on Feb. 9 in the Omani capital Muscat as part of his official visit to the Gulf country.
"In friendly and brotherly Oman for the second stop of our visits to the Gulf," Çavuşoğlu tweeted.
