PM says safety at sea means improved tourism product
Securing the safety of swimmers at sea will also help improve the quality of tourism offered the country, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said on Friday, speaking at an event on safety at sea.
The event was organized by nonprofit Safe Water Sports, which promotes educational activities particularly for children to enhance awareness of safety at sea.

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced on Friday four new government initiatives meant to prop up hard-hit households and businesses, including an increase in the number of installments for income and property taxes and a small discount for the payment of annual tax dues in a lump sum ahead of the deadline for the first tranche.

Greece-Italy accord sets precedent for broader region, PM says
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Wednesday hailed an agreement on maritime boundaries signed between Greece and Italy on Tuesday as a key step in the country's foreign policy.
"[The agreement] acknowledges in the most formal manner that islands have the same sovereign rights as continental land masses," Mitsotakis told Parliament during a debate on education.
Theodorikakos douses snap vote speculation
Greece's Interior Minister Takis Theodorikakos dismissed media reports on Wednesday that the government is considering calling early elections.
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has repeatedly ruled out the possibility of a snap vote, "so there is no reason to say anything more [about this]," he said.

Coronavirus cases linked to Thessaloniki party
Several people have tested positive for coronavirus infection after attending a party in Thessaloniki in northern Greece which broke the country's restrictions, according to reports Wednesday.
The party was reportedly organized at a luxury villa by a Thessaloniki student studying in London who was celebrating her homecoming and reunion with friends.
