PM to brief Sakellaropoulou on Covid-19

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will on Monday meet with President Katerina Sakellaropoulou to brief her about progress in managing the coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak and the economic impact of the pandemic, it was announced Friday.
The briefing will take place at 12 p.m. at the Presidential Palace.
The two will from now on hold monthly meetings, the announcement said.

Parliament debates gov't response to pandemic

Party leaders debated the government's response to the coronavirus outbreak in Parliament Thursday.

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis lauded his government's response, saying it was the only one that outlawed layoffs. He said the government spent €17.5 billion to prop up incomes and companies and will spend more, when European funds are available.

PM calls for discipline, hard work to ‘regain lost ground’

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Wednesday called for discipline and hard work from his ministers so that the country can "regain the lost ground" in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.

Addressing a cabinet meeting via teleconference, Mitsotakis said that the government has lined up a total of 26 bills that must have been voted in Parliament by July 31.

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis was chairing a cabinet meeting via teleconference on Wednesday to review developments regarding the coronavirus pandemic and to discuss several bills put forward by the ministries of his conservative government.
