For the 10th Consecutive Year, Bulgaria is the Last in the EU in Pay of Overtime Work
For the tenth consecutive year, Bulgaria is the last in the European Union in pay of overtime work. In 2018 an average of 5.5 euros was paid for an extra hour of work, according to data from the European Statistics Agency Eurostat.

Bulgaria's Education System 'Not Ready to Work with Migrants'
A trade union official has noted that Bulgaria's education system is not ready to work with migrant children.
Speaking at a roundtable dedicated to the migrant crisis, Yanka Takeva, who heads a teachers' trade union (part of union confederation CITUB), has warned of "double standards" about state support for migrants and Bulgarian adults which "leave society divided."

Unions Pile Pressure on Bosnia Federation Govt
Leaders of the union of pensioners' associations in Bosnia's Federation entity will meet next week to decide the date for protests against worsening living standards, the vice-president of the union, Mehmedalija Rapa, said.
Rapa said that up to 35,000 pensioners are expected to join the protests, expected sometime in the latter half of September.

MasterCard to Outsource Some Services from UK to Bulgaria, the Philippines
MasterCard has said it will outsource part of its business from its office in Peterborough, in the UK to Bulgaria and the Philippines.
UK-based Peterborough Telegraph quoted a company spokesperson as saying that "?in alignment with other MasterCard business functions we are outsourcing an element of our business to both Bulgaria and the Philippines."
Greek MPs meetings with institutions are strewn with thorns
