Minimum labour cost to total RSD 121 per hour in 2015
BELGRADE - The Serbian government adopted a decision to set the minimum labour cost at RSD 121 per work hour in Serbia in 2015, free of taxes and contributions for mandatory social insurance.
Labour regulations to be adopted within one year
BELGRADE - The expert group in charge of labour legislations held its first meeting on Thursday, during which they agreed that the preparation of the legislations in the sectors of labour and relations between social partners should be completed within a year.

No agreement on minimum price of labour
BELGRADE - The members of the Social Economic Council of Serbia have not come to an agreement on the minimum price of labour for next year, Labour Minister Aleksandar Vulin said on Sunday.
"It means that the government will decide on it at one of its upcoming meetings," he told reporters after a meeting of the council.

Labour Law the same for all employees in Serbia
BELGRADE - The Serbian Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran Care and Social Affairs released on Tuesday that the Labour Law is a general regulation that applies to all employees in Serbia.

Serbia Unions to Petition for Labour Law Referendum
Serbian trade unions said they would start collecting signatures on Monday, demanding a referendum to change the new legislation. They need to collect 100,000 signatures to trigger a vote.
The move comes after 190 MPs voted on Friday in favour of amendments to the Labour Law. Only 21 voted against and four abstained.

PM Ponta: CAS consultation, meaningless; possibly some propaganda for President Basescu
Prime Minister Victor Ponta on Monday said talks between him and President Traian Basescu at the Cotroceni Presidential Palace was political propaganda for the chief of state, and that in his opinion the President can do what he pleases in relation to the cut in the social security contributions (CAS).
Parliament debate on amendments to labour law on Tuesday
BELGRADE - The Serbian parliament will discuss at its Tuesday session the bill of amendments to the labour law which the government adopted on Saturday despite the pressures and protests of trade unions.

"I have asked that we implement a difficult programme, one could hardly imagine in these circumstances, reduction of pensions of minimum 20 per cent, cut of public sector salaries for 15 per cent, layoffs for 160,000 workers and increase of the electricity price for 30 per cent," Krstic said.

Danas: Blair will not be advisor to either Vucic or gov't
BELGRADE - Tony Blair, the UK's former prime minister, will not be an advisor to either the Serbian government or Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, and he will not receive any remuneration for his Thursday visit to Serbia, Belgrade-based daily Danas learnt at the prime minister's office.
