Heavy traffic, congestion on sunny weekend

Ljubljana – Traffic has been slow on Slovenian roads throughout the day and the weekend, with long waiting times at some border crossings with Croatia and Austria. The situation has been further aggravated by an accident on the busy motorway near Postojna, SW, with the travel time prolonged by 90 minutes, according to the Traffic Information Centre.

A speed limit of 30 km/h is being introduced in part of downtown Sofia today.

It covers the square between the boulevards "Pencho Slaveykov", "Prague", "Skobelev", "Vitosha".

February 10 was the deadline for placing road signs to mark the beginning and end of the so-called "Zone 30".

There was a traffic jam in front of one of the tunnels leading to this mountain.
"We have been waiting for almost half an hour to continue the journey, the lane is huge. They told us that the police would come to regulate the traffic on this section," said one of the drivers who found himself on the main road to Zlatibor.
