Bulgaria: Kilometer-Long Queues and Broken-Down Trucks during Heavy Snowfall at the "Predel" Pass

Several heavy-duty trucks are blocked on the Blagoevgrad-Bansko road in the area of the "Predel" pass. The passage is extremely difficult despite the efforts of the teams to clear the heavy snow.

The traffic jam is serious in the Razlog-Bansko direction, where the trucks are stuck, BNR reported.

Research shows Triglav, Skuta glaciers continue to shrink

The latest measurements of the glaciers below the Triglav and Skuta peaks have shown that the only two remaining glaciers in Slovenia have shrunk and thinned significantly this year due to the unfavourable snow and temperature conditions, and that they are under threat of disappearing.
