A passenger plane made a hair-raising landing "on its stomach" at Alanya airport in Turkey following a malfunction with its landing gear. This incident marks the second emergency landing in Turkey within a span of two days, intensifying concerns over aviation safety regarding Boeing.

A passenger plane on May 9 made an emergency belly landing after its front landing gear malfunctioned at an airport in the southern province of Antalya, a day after a similar incident in Istanbul.

A cargo plane on May 8 made a belly landing at Istanbul Airport as its landing gear failed to deploy, with no casualties reported in the accident.

Upon arriving to Istanbul from France at around 8 a.m., the flight crew of a FedEx plane notified airport personnel of its malfunctioning front landing wheels.

The aircraft was independently manufactured by Utva Aviation Industry located in Pancevo after three decades of inactivity.

The flight lasted one hour. The main designer and development director of the company, Aleksandar Petrovic, told the press that over the next 10 months the entire certification process would be completed to start series production.

The Army of Serbia will receive from Russia two transport aircrafts "Antonov", reports Sputnik, without specifying the source of information.

The plane, which was supposed to take Borisov to Brussels, took off shortly after 7 pm Sofia time but it turned out that its landing gear had not retracted.
