Macedonia Drops Charges in NATO Killings Case
Macedonia's Special Prosecution said on Monday that it is dropping all charges against 11 ethnic Albanian residents of the north-eastern village of Sopot who were being retried for allegedly planting a mine in 2003 that killed two Polish NATO soldiers and one Macedonian civilian.

Moldova Economy Grows Faster Than Eurozone Average
Moldova's economy grew by 4.5 per cent in 2017 - well above the eurozone average of about 2 per cent - as the country's foreign debt decreased slightly, a report released by the Ministry of Finance in Chisinau showed on Monday.
At the end of the December 2017, Moldova's foreign debt amounted at 1.7 billion US dollars, 19.3 per cent of the country's GDP, 2 per cent less than in 2016.

Hoxhaj: FYROM asked Kosovo's assistance to apply Albanian language law
Deputy Prime Minister of the so-called Republic of Kosovo, Enver Hoxhaj, during Government's meeting on Friday, said that the Government of FYROM (Macedonia) has asked Kosovo's support to assist in implementation of bilingualism in institutions of Macedonia, after Parliament in Skopje has approved on Wednesday the law allowing for the wider use of the Albanian language.
Macedonian PM slams president for his "cowardice"
"I am sorry that the president of the state has decided literally not to respect the Constitution and to announce that he will not sign the law for the second time. That is not good, it is a flagrant violation of the Constitution of Macedonia and, of course, institutions do not have the right to allow this to happen," Zaev told reporters in Skopje.

Moldova Jails Ex-deputy for Spying for Russia
Moldova courts on Tuesday jailed a former deputy, Iurie Bolboceanu, for 14 years, for "betraying his homeland" by spying for Russia.
The Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime and Special Investigations, PCCOCS, said the Russian Military Intelligence Agency, the GRU, recruited him from October 5, 2016, to March 17, 2017.

BELGRADE - US Ambassador to Serbia Kyle Scott said on Friday he saw no reason for the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue to plunge into a serious crisis, noting that the internal dialogue on Kosovo-Metohija was making progress.
