Croatian PM says Ukraine is "falling apart"

ZAGREB -- Croatian PM Zoran Milanović has said that Ukraine was disintegrating as a state, while Russia "crossed the line of what is permissible" when it comes to Crimea.

Croatian war veterans, who want a referendum to limit minority rights and end official use of Serbian Cyrillic script in parts of Croatia, accuse the government of ignoring their initiative.

ZAGREB - Headquarters for the Defense of Vukovar, a right-wing organization campaigning against official use of the Serbian Cyrillic script in Croatia, announced on Thursday that it will tour the country to convince the citizens that the referendum on bilingualism is neither unconstitutional, nor contrary to the position of the European Union.

Croat PM: Referendum on Cyrillic script "disgrace"

THE HAGUE - The International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague started on Thursday the second round of oral argument in a dispute between Serbia and Croatia where both parties are suing each other for commission of genocide during the 1991-95 war in Croatia.

"I congratulate those who won such excellent election results," Pusic in Brussels, referring to last weekend's general election in neighbouring Serbia, in which the Serbian Progressive Party won a landslide victory.

Serbian and Croatian officials insisted they wanted to leave the past behind but could not drop their lawsuits against each other, which begin next week at the International Court of Justice.
