Serbia Urged to Correct Schoolbooks Denying Croatian is a Language
Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic told Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic at a meeting on the margins of the EU-Western Balkans summit in Slovenia that he wants a school textbook that describes the Croatian, Bosnian and Montenegrin languages as versions of Serbian to be corrected.
Serbia sends note to Croatia over control of imports
PODGORICA - The Serbian government has sent a note to the Croatian government and the European Commission following Zagreb's decision to step up control of agricultural imports, Serbian PM Ana Brnabic said in Podgorica on Wednesday.
The Serbian government is talking to other countries affected by the decision so that we can act jointly on the issue, Brnabic said.
More Bosnian Muslims Learn Turkish and Arabic
A growing number of children attending primary and secondary school in Sarajevo are learning Turkish and Arabic as "second foreign languages" alongside those traditionally taught to Bosnian children, such as English and German, the Ministry of Culture and Education of the Canton of Sarajevo told BIRN.
