Two arrested in Zakynthos over laughing gas, spiked drinks
Two people were arrested on the Ionian island of Zakynthos on Monday in connection with balloons containing nitrous oxide, more commonly known as laughing gas, and adultarated drinks, inside two one-day cruise ships docked at the port.
Police arrest man for selling laughing gas in Crete
Police on the island of Crete arrested a 63-year-old man on Thursday on charges he was selling laughing gas (nitrous oxide) in his store.
He was nabbed after police raided his store in the tourist resort of Hersonisos and found almost 675 ampules and 910 balloons containing the gas.
The raid was part of a crackdown on the drug across the island, especially in resort areas.
Three arrested on Crete for selling laughing gas
Police in Hersonissos, Crete, arrested a 62-year-old man and two young British tourists for selling laughing gas. Authorities said the arrests were made as part of an operation to clamp down on the sale of the gas to tourists visiting the island.
The 62-year-old local man was arrested after small canisters of nitrous oxide were found in a bar he owned.

Thessaloniki prosecutor asks for crackdown on laughing gas
Thessaloniki prosecutor Eleftherios Michailidis asked Monday for the police to step up a crackdown on laughing gas. The sale of small canisters of nitrous oxide has become very popular among young people, particularly on some Greek islands.
