Lavrio deputy mayor faces prosecution over suspected arson
The deputy mayor of Lavreotiki Municipality was presented before a prosecutor on Wednesday at the Athens Misdemeanor Court after being arrested as the suspected arsonist behind a fire that erupted on Tuesday in an outdoor agricultural waste disposal area in Lavrio.

TAIPED announces Lavrio port authority stake sale
The Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (TAIPED) issued a call of interest for a majority stake sale (50%+1 share) in Lavrio Port Authority SA on Wednesday.
The authority has the exclusive right of use and development of the southeastern Attica port's sports fields, buildings and facilities through a 60-year concession it has signed with the Greek state.

New fire overnight at Keratea – Flares fired into the forest
With the fire in Vilia not extinguished, another fire in Lavreotiki sounded the alarm in the early hours of Friday, but fortunately with a happy ending.
The fire reached a breath from a settlement that fortunately was not in danger, with the mayor of Lavreotiki reporting an arson after a flare.

Thermal cameras installed in kindergartens at southeast Attica municipality
Thermal cameras that can detect students' fever have been installed in kindergartens and primary schools at the Lavreotiki municipality, the local authority said on Friday.
These cameras were procured in the context of establishing an effective system of prevention measures against the coronavirus, the municipality added.
Restoration plan for French Pier in Lavrio approved by Culture Ministry
A plan for the restoration of the French Pier at the port of Lavrio, in southeast Attica Attica by the National Technical University of Athens has been unanimously approved by the Ministry of Culture's Central Council of Modern Monuments.
