The World Day for Safety and Health at Work is celebrated anually on 28 April. For the first time, the International Labor Organization (ILO) celebrates this day in 2001.

New Zealand has passed a landmark bill that treats abortion as a health issue rather than a crime, a major reform in laws that have been unchanged for more than four decades.

The reform passed through parliament late on Wednesday by a vote of 68 to 51.

Under a joint decision of the standing bureaus of Parliament on Monday events that were to take place in Parliament between March 9 and 31, where participation was expected to exceed 1,000 people, are now banned.

The Parliament has adopted amendments to the Climate Change Mitigation Act on second reading, Focus News Agency reported.
The bill aims to enhance cost-effective emission reductions and low-carbon investments.
