Nobel Peace Laureate and former President of Poland Lech Walesa called for the population of Russia to be reduced to 50 million people, "Figaro" reported, quoted by Ukrainsworld.

18-year-olds are set to receive a travel pass under the fourth and latest round of DiscoverEU, which attracted some 75,000 applications from across Europe. Poland’s last Communist leader Wojciech Jaruzelski has passed away at the age of 90, after years of ailing health.

Jaruzelski will be remembered with introducing martial law in 1981 and ordering the arrest of trade union Solidarity’s leader Lech Walesa. The martial law lasted for 2 years, amidst rising political opposition in the country.
