Bucharest, Aug 27 /Agerpres/ - The Bucharest Stock Exchange closed upwards the last trading session of the week, with a value of transactions of 49.08 million lei (9.95 million euros). The main BET index appreciated by 0.59%, to 12,389.58 points, and BET-Plus, which shows the evolution of the most liquid 37 shares, recorded a similar increase.

Nuclearelectrica posts 27.8 pct higher profit in 2020

Energy producer Nuclearelectrica, the operator of the Cernavoda nuclear power plant, closed last year with a net profit of 684.7 million lei, by 27.8 percent higher compared to 2019, according to a company statement issued on Thursday. The company's energy output was 10,558 GWh, up 2 percent from the year before.

Average net earnings up by 2 pct in November, to 3,411 lei

The average gross nominal earnings in November were 5,565 lei, by 113 lei (+ 2.1%) higher than in October 2020, while the average net nominal value rose to 3,411 lei, on the increase compared to the previous month, by 68 lei (+ 2%), according to data published on Wednesday by the National Institute of Statistics (INS).

CFR Calatori CEO: We'll probably end 2020 with 300-something ml lei in losses

The National Railway Company's passenger arm CFR Calatori will most likely end 2020 with losses of over 300 million lei, but this is still less than the 680 million lei budgeted at the beginning of the year, the company's CEO Dan Costescu declared on Wednesday.

State borrows 1.594bn lei from banks on Monday

The Ministry of Public Finance (MFP) borrowed 1.594 billion lei from banks on Monday, through a benchmark government bond issue, with a residual maturity of 36 months, at a yield average of 3.84pct per year, according to data released by the National Bank of Romania (BNR). The nominal value of Monday's issue was 300 million lei, and the banks subscribed 1.918 billion lei.
