It doesn't matter whether "your country" is a nation-state or a colony or a dependency: "Country" means people living together with as much agreement and sense of common interest as possible.

Partly employed workers earn less than 400 euros
About 30 percent of all insured employees in Greece are working - or are declared to work - part-time for an average monthly salary of just 396.11 euros, according to data collected by the Unified Social Security Fund (EFKA).

Ceiling seen reducing high pensions
The Labor Ministry is about to introduce a ceiling on the monthly amount of pensions, to apply retroactively, in order to plug the loophole in the Katrougalos law that allowed for some very large pensions, which in certain cases exceeded 20,000 euros a month.

NSSI with 11% Higher First-Quarter Social Security Contributions
With over 11 per cent higher first quarter earnings than a year ago, reported by the National Social Security Institute. January-March costs are only 2.6 percent higher than in the first quarter of 2018. 99 per cent of the costs for the period are for pensions and social benefits. Over BGN 2.7 billion have been paid for them.

The National Social Security Institute declares that Bulgaria's average insured income in April 2019 is BGN 991.12. This was announced by the Institute's press center.
The average monthly insurance income for the country for the period from 01.05.2018 to 30.04.2019 is BGN 920.83.

Social security debt settlement scheme being snapped up
More than 36,000 applications had been submitted for the Labor Ministry's new debt settlement scheme by Friday morning, less than 10 days after the platform for submissions was launched.
The applications come from non-salaried workers who owe money to their healthcare and pension providers and are seeking to settle those debts in up to 120 installments.
Windfall of benefits two days before the elections
The second biggest wave of payments by the Labor Ministry and the Welfare Benefits and Social Solidarity Organization (OPEKA) is completed on Friday, just two days before the polls open, so that millions of citizens arrive at the polling station with their pockets full of cash.

Auxiliary social security dues to decline
Auxiliary social security contributions are due for a reduction as of June 1, from 3.5 percent for employees and 3.5 percent for employers to 3.25 percent for both, according to the 2016 legislation known as the Katrougalos law.

Retirement age slashed for certain freelance professionals
The administration of the Single Social Security Entity (EFKA) permits the indirect reduction of the age of retirement for thousands of workers by two years, according to a document it issued.
