Ankara welcomes reopening of strategic coastal road in Libya
Turkey welcomed the reopening of a strategic coastal road linking Libya's east to its west, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said on July 31.

"We welcome the official opening of the Misrata - Sirte Coastal Road on 30 July 2021, which has been closed for a long time," it said in a statement.
Turkey ‘may help Libya economic recovery'
With the right policies, Turkey could play a crucial role in Libya's reconstruction period, a top business leader said.
Murtaza Karanfil, the head of Turkey-Libya Business Council of the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEİK), told Anadolu Agency in an interview that Turkey is not seen as a colonial state in the region like many other countries.

Turkey on July 4 expressed grief after a boat with 127 migrants on board sank off the eastern coast of Tunisia on July 3.
Some 84 of 127 migrants have been rescued by Tunisian authorities while the remaining are still missing.
Turkish foreign minister meets German counterpart, Libyan premier
Turkish foreign minister on June 23 met with his German counterpart and Libyan prime minister ahead of the second Berlin Conference on Libya.
"We discussed Libya, our EU relations in the context of immigration and customs union and tourism issues with German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas," Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu wrote on Twitter.
Çavuşoğlu also shared two photographs from the meeting.
Haftar still posing threat to Libya: Turkish defense chief
General Khalifa Haftar, the commander of the Libyan National Army (LNA) in eastern Libya, is still posing a threat to Libya's unity and the ongoing peace process, Turkey's top soldier has said, vowing Turkey's continued support to the U.N.-recognized Government of National Accord (GNA) in Tripoli and extended military presence in the country.
