HC Dobrogea Sud wins Romanian Supercup in Men's Handball

HC Dobrogea Sud Constanta has won the Romanian Supercup in men's handball, on Wednesday, after defeating CS Dinamo Bucharest with the score of 19-18 (10-10), in the Polyvalent Hall in Alexandria. The team from Constanta has won its second trophy in the Supercup, after their first in 2017, won also over Dinamo and also by a one goal difference, 28-27.

Women's handball: Minaur Baia Mare applies for wildcard for Champions League

Romania's vice-champion in women's handball, CS Minaur Baia Mare, has requested a wildcard for the next season of the Champions League, according to the club's official website. Romania could thus have two teams in the strongest European interclub competition, considering that CSM Bucharest, the national champion, is one of the teams that will play in the League groups.

AEK loses handball's Challenge Cup final to Potaissa Turda

AEK defeated Romania's Potaissa Turda at the Olympic Sports Hall of Athens on Sunday, but  its one-goal win was not enough to overturn its deficit from the first leg of the two-game final of the European Handball Federation (EHF) Challenge Cup to finish runner-up in the tournament, for the first time in the Greek club's history.

Partizan picks up first win in Eurocup

BELGRADE - Partizan NIS beat Romanian CSU Asesoft 76-69 (25-23, 18-15, 11-20, 22-11) in a Eurocup 2014-15 Regular Season Group E Round 5 match in Belgrade late on Wednesday.

It was the first victory for the Belgrade team in this part of the competition, while Asesoft from Ploiesti suffered its second defeat.

Partizan will next play Lithuania's Lietuvos Rytas.
