The reactions show that Bulgaria did very well with its first presidency of the Council of the EU, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Ekaterina Zaharieva said before the voting in Parliament to close the Ministry for the Bulgarian Presidency, Focus News Agency reports.

Mission accomplished, this is what Minister for the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU Lilyana Pavlova said at a briefing at the Council of Ministers, reporting on the results of the Trio Estonia - Bulgaria - Austria, which has chaired the Council of the European Union from 1 July 2017 to 31 December 2018, Focus News Agency reports. 

Parliament will close the ministry for the Bulgarian presidency of the EU Council and will release Lilyana Pavlova from the post of Minister, reported BGNES. 

This proposal was made by Prime Minister Boyko Borisov and it is included in the agenda of the National Assembly for the last meetings before the Christmas vacation.

Plenipotentiaries of EU member states to Bulgaria congratulated the Minister for the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union Lilyana Pavlova for the excellent work of Bulgaria within the frameworks of the EU Presidency Trio Bulgaria-Estonia-Austria, reported the Bulgarian National Radio.

Sofia. Minister for the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU Lilyana Pavlova expressed her most sincere gratitude to the President of the Bulgarian Red Cross (BRC), Hristo Grigorov, and his team for their cooperation, support and commitment during Bulgaria's first rotating EU presidency, said the ministry's press office.

Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and Chairman of the State Council of China Li Keqiang have expressed satisfaction with the results achieved during their meetings in Sofia. This was announced by the press service of the Council of Ministers. They spoke before Li Keqiang's departure, who was on an official four-day visit to Bulgaria.

Prime Minister Boyko Borisov will open the first Plovdiv Economic Forum. Its organizers are the Athens-based Delphic Economic Forum and the Center for Liberal Strategies in Sofia. Bulgaria will make a new financial check on the way the EU funds have been spent since we joined the European Union up to the present day. The aim is to analyze the rules for the use of the money for the European programs for the next European budget until 2027.

Today, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker will be on a working visit to Bulgaria. He will meet with Prime Minister Boyko Borisov and will attend a meeting with the heads of state and government of the Western Balkan countries.
