Cyprus to end its fuel tax break
As of April 1, the reduced consumption tax on fuel in Cyprus will come to an end, reverting to 8.3 cents per liter for gasoline and 6.3 cents per liter for heating oil.

Petrol, the largest fuel retailer on the Slovenian market, has adjusted its logistics to the possible challenges in winter. Having improved its anticipation of spikes in demand following June’s fuel shortages, the company is also prepared to supply more heating oil should it be needed for electricity generation.

Bulgaria Exports almost Half of the Electricity it Produces
In June, Bulgaria exported almost half of the electricity produced in the country. This is what new data from the National Statistical Institute (NSI) indicate.
In June, 4.03 terawatt hours of electricity were produced in the country, which is an increase of 25% on an annual basis.
Diesel and Gasoline more Expensive for Foreigners in Hungary
Only drivers of cars with Hungarian registration plates will be able to refuel with petrol and oil at a lower, limited price, said the head of the office of Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, Gergely Gulyas. For foreigners, fuels will be sold at a premium, depending on the market price of fuels. The measure comes into force today, May 27. Today, the markup on foreigners is 42 percent.

The fall of the Greek fuel market in 2020
The fuel market fell sharply during 2020.
According to ELSTAT data, a total of 6,688 million metric tons of fuel of all categories were handled compared to 7,281 million metric tons in 2019, with a decrease of 8.1%. The decline in diesel was also significant, as the decline in gasoline reached 23% while in diesel 6.5%.

Greek customs authorities have discovered that large amounts of a chemical solvent have been imported to Greece with the purpose of adulterating gasoline sold in the country.

In January 2020 compared to December 2019 an increase is reported for the production of: • unleaded motor gasoline - by 1.4% to3149 thousand tonnes;
• natural gas - by 20.0% to 6 million m .
Over 1000 Tons of Poor Quality Fuel Withdrawn from the Market for a Year
More than 1,000 tons of poor fuel have been withdrawn from the market this year after inspections by the State Agency for Metrology and Technical Surveillance. The imposed sanctions amount to over BGN 1 mln, bTV announced.
4.4% of the verified fuel during the year had quality deviations. More than 1,500 samples were collected in one third of the country's gas stations.
