Conservative Logar to face liberal Pirc Musar in runoff
Ljubljana, 23 October – Anže Logar, the conservative former foreign minister, won 34% of the vote in Sunday’s presidential election in Slovenia and will face lawyer Nataša Pirc Musar in the 13 November run-off after she picked 27%. Being limited to two terms, incumbent Borut Pahor could not run again.
Pirc Musar’s bid gets boost after Kos quits, poll shows
Ljubljana – Lawyer Nataša Pirc Musar has increased her lead in the presidential race after the ruling party’s candidate Marta Kos pulled out, a poll run by the newspaper Delo on Saturday suggests. Pirc Musar gained five percentage points in a fortnight to 31% as Anže Logar, the former foreign minister, stayed at 23%.
Pirc Musar, Logar in the lead in POP TV poll
Ljubljana – Lawyer Nataša Pirc Musar and Anže Logar, the former foreign minister, are in the lead in a presidential opinion poll released by commercial broadcaster POP TV, polling at 28.7% and 25.4%, respectively. Marta Kos, the former diplomat who will run for the ruling party Freedom Movement, polled at 11.4%.

Pirc Musar tops latest Mediana poll, closely followed by Logar
Ljubljana – Lawyer and ex-Information Commissioner Nataša Pirc Musar tops the latest public opinion poll measuring support for the presidential election conducted by Mediana for the newspaper Delo. Pirc Musar has been picked by 26.1% of respondents, and is followed closely by former Foreign Minister Anže Logar.
Slovenia hosting Transformational Travel Council conference
Ljubljana – Slovenia will be the first European country to host the annual conference of the Transformational Travel Council (TTC), a US collective of tourist organization and businesses, set to take place in the Logar Valley in from 9 to 12 October.

Ljubljana – The opposition has presented a critical take on some ministerial candidates in parliament on Wednesday while expressing fears about measures it sees as reminiscent of the socialist era.
Presenting the Democrat (SDS) deputy group’s position, Anže Logar, the outgoing foreign minister, noted that Robert Golob wanted to form a government quickly.
Foreign minister starting three-day visit to India
Ljubljana/New Delhi – Foreign Minister Anže Logar will start a three-day visit to India on Monday to meet with his Indian counterpart Subrahmanyam Jaishankar and take part in the Raisina Dialogue. He is also expected to hold talks with Indian President Narendra Modi, the Foreign Ministry said.

Slovenian, Croatian and Italian FMs discuss Ukraine, Bay of Piran
Zagreb – Slovenian Foreign Minister Anže Logar, Croatia’s Gordan Grlić Radman and Italy’s Luigi Di Maio met in Croatia on Monday as part of the trilateral cooperation effort for the north Adriatic Sea. They also discussed Ukraine and Logar and Grlić Radman talked about an “agreement about an agreement” on joint fishing in the border Bay of Piran.
