President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. spoke yesterday with the Bucharest Nine (B9) - NATO Allies group part of the eastern flank, to underscore the United States' commitment to Transatlantic security and the U.S.'s sacred commitment to NATO's Article 5.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on June 13 met with the leaders of NATO member countries in Brussels as part of his bilateral talks ahead of Monday's alliance summit.

Erdoğan held separate talks with Hungarian Premier Viktor Orban, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda, and Latvian President Egils Levits.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has said he will discuss all the aspects of the Turkish-American ties with U.S. President Joe Biden in their in-person meeting on the sidelines of the NATO Summit in Brussels, specifying the latter's categorization of the 1915 events as genocide and the U.S. exclusion of Turkey from the F-35 fighter project.

Leaders of NATO countries at June 14's summit will discuss the path that the military alliance will follow over the next decade against challenges such as China, Russia, and cyber threats.

The leaders will gather on June 14 at NATO headquarters in Brussels for the first time since 2018.

French President Emmanuel Macron said on June 10 that despite disagreements with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the two leaders have decided to meet and talk.  

NATO is powerful only with Turkey and without it, the alliance is not that strong, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has said, citing Ankara as among the top five nations within the security institutions which is fully fulfilling all the NATO missions, in remarks ahead of the alliance's summit in mid-June.

The Mitsotakis-Erdogan meeting will take place at the sidelines of the NATO Summit

President Rumen Radev today held a video conference call with The President of the European Council Charles Michel. Topics from the agenda of the European Union, as well as the upcoming extraordinary meeting of the European Council on 24 and 25 May, at which our country will be represented by the Bulgarian Head of State, were among the highlights of the conversation.

Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias will on Friday hold a private meeting with Albania's Prime Minister Edi Rama in Athens, diplomatic sources say.

Later in the day, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will have a dinner for his Albanian counterpart that will also be attended by the foreign minister.

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis spoke on the phone with French President Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday to discuss preparations for the next European Council summit on December 10-11.

The two leaders also discussed bilateral cooperation, the prime minister's office said.
