A Twitter account purporting to belong to new Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis proved to be a hoax on Wednesday. The account seems to have been created by Italian hoaxer and journalist Tommasso Debenedetti.

Greeks awaiting justice in Nazi massacre village, 70 years on
Loukas Sehremelis was just 12 years old when Nazi troops burst into his house in the Greek village of Distomo, shooting and killing indiscriminately.
"A burly German soldier launched himself through the window and fired a shot in the air from his pistol," said Sehremelis, now 83, sitting in the tiny living room where his family was massacred on June 10, 1944.
Greek federation backs injured Holebas
The Greek soccer federation on Friday insisted that international defender Jose Holebas had been dropped from team training in Austria because of injury and not for any other reason.
Media reports out of Italy said that the 30-year-old player had trained normally with his Roma squad after departing from Austria on Tuesday.

Greek monks and archaeologists join forces
Alternate Education Minister Nikos Xydakis and Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and Aall Greece on Wednesday agreed to a collaboration between archaeologists and monks on projects involving archaeologically valuable monuments.
