Today, Bulgarians commemorate the 151st anniversary of the death of Vasil Levski, known as the Apostle of Freedom, who dedicated his life to the liberation of Bulgaria from Ottoman rule.

Two people died in a severe accident on the Pleven - Lovech road. The incident happened late last night near the turnoff for the village of Ralevo, said senior expert Mariana Tsvetkova, spokesperson of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Pleven, quoted by BNT.

Italian police have identified a man who carved the name "Ivan" in Latin letters on the wall of the Colosseum in Rome.

Five people died in an accident between two cars on the Pleven-Lovech road, BNT reported.

The head-on collision took place in the afternoon, the road is closed.

"We are 149 years away from the self-sacrifice of the Apostle of Freedom. To the man who gave his life to win over an entire nation." This is what the head of state wrote on the occasion of the anniversary of the Apostle's death and added:

A commemorative ceremony will be held in Karlovo tonight on the occasion of the 149th anniversary of the death of the Apostle of Freedom Vasil Levski. Earlier, a round table will be held on the topic: "Vasil Levski, the Chetnik actions and the committee work" with the participation of scientists from all over the country.

The Minister of Economy Kiril Petkov and the German manufacturer of electric cars eGo signed a memorandum for production in Bulgaria, which made the deal a reality.

The main production will be in Lovech, and the investment is for 140 million euros.

Five died and one remained in serious condition after an accident on the  Sofia-Varna main road near the village of Mikre. This was announced by the Center for Emergency Medical Aid in Lovech, quoted by BTA.
