Ryanair to launch transatlantic flights, with fares as low as £10

Budget airline Ryanair has revealed its plans to launch transatlantic flights in four to five years, with fares that will start from £10, as part of its new growth strategy.

"European consumers want lower cost travel to the USA and the same for Americans coming to Europe. We see it as a logical development in the European market," a Ryanair spokesman said.

AirAsia Flight QZ8501 Crashed Due to Ascending Too Fast

Indonesia's Transport Minister Ignasius Jonan announced on Tuesday that the crashed AirAsia plane climbed too fast before stalling.

According to Jonan, the jet ascended at a speed of 1828 metres per minute, which neither a passenger nor a military plane would attempt to climb so fast, the BBC reports.

Indonesian divers Jan. 11 found the black box of the AirAsia plane which crashed in the Java Sea a fortnight ago with 162 people aboard, the transport ministry said.
But they failed to retrieve it because it was stuck under debris from the main body of the plane, it added.

Tail of Crashed AirAsia Plane Found in Java Sea

The tail of AirAsia Flight 8501 has been found in the Java Sea.

The director of Indonesia's search and rescue agency, Bambang Soelistyo, made clear Wednesday that the tail section of the plane, marked with part of the airline's logo, had been detected by sonar.

Soelistyo, as cited by CNN, informed that no black boxes had been found yet.

Divers go down to AirAsia wreckage as weather clears

Indonesian search officials sent divers down to the bed of the Java Sea during a break in bad weather Jan. 6 in hopes of recovering more bodies from the wreckage of AirAsia Flight 8501.
Recovery teams, hampered by rough seas, have found fewer than 40 bodies since the plane crashed on December 28, carrying 162 people from the Indonesian city of Surabaya to Singapore.
