Mother and her 2-year-old die in car crash

BELGRADE -- A woman and her 2-year-old child lost their lives in the early hours of Tuesday in a traffic accident on the Sabac-Loznica road, in western Serbia.

The accident happened at around 02:00 CET, leaving the woman instantly dead, while the child succumbed to injuries later in a Belgrade hospital, RTS is reporting.

Serbia marks 100 years since Battle of Drina

LOZNICA -A commemoration was held at Mt. Gucevo near Loznica, western Serbia, on Sunday for the fallen in the 1914 Battle of Drina, in which members of the Serbian military tried to prevent the second Austro-Hungarian invasion of the Kingdom of Serbia.

On behalf of the Serbian government, Minister of Veteran Affairs Aleksandar Vulin laid wreaths at the memorial ossuary.
