Lufthansa pilots agree to mediated talks in pay dispute
Lufthansa and German pilots' union Vereinigung Cockpit have agreed to mediated talks to resolve a row over contracts dating back to 2012, averting the threat of further strikes for a few more weeks, the two parties said on Dec. 16.
Lufthansa slashes 900 flights as pilots' strike drags on
German heavyweight airline Lufthansa cancelled a further 890 flights on Nov. 30 as pilots remained on strike in a long-running wage dispute.
Lufthansa Strike Affects Sofia Flights
German Company Lufthansa has cancelled 890 flights on Wednesday, including some long - haul flights. As a result, Sofia Airport confirmed that several flights of the company to and from Sofia were also cancelled.
The reason for the strike which started last week is the long - term disagreement between the management and the pilots on the amount of the pilots's remeuneration.

German Lufthansa Cancels 800 Flights
German carrier Lufthansa has cancelled 800 short-haul flights on Tuesday due to the pilots' strike, reported AFP.
About 82,000 passengers have been affected.
Another 890 flights will be cancelled on Wednesday, including some long-haul flights.

Lufthansa pilots plan new strikes over this week
Pilots at German flag carrier Lufthansa will resume their strike on Nov. 29-30, their union said, as talks over a dispute concerning wages ended without a resolution.
Pilots' union Cockpit said it was calling on members flying short-haul flights to stay away from work on Nov. 29, and those flying both short and long-haul destinations to stage a walkout on Nov. 30.

Lufthansa Pilots Go On Strike Again
Lufthansa pilots are going on strike again for another 48 hours as of Tuesday.
The news was announced by their syndicate after they rejected the proposal of the management for a moderate increase of remuneration and a two-month bonus.
The Cockpit syndicate insist on a nearly 4% annual increase of wages which, however, has to be backdated 5 years.

German Lufthansa Now Operating after Strike
After a three-day strike by Lufthansa pilots, the German company is already operating, said public broadcaster BNR on November 26.
Sofia Airport confirmed that earlier this morning, two airplanes of Lufthansa left Sofia to Munich and Frankfurt.

German Lufthansa Pilots Strike Becomes Indefinite
The strike of Lufthansa pilots has become indefinite, announced the spokesperson of the pilot syndicate, reported dir.bg.
There is no deadline for the end of the strike, stated Jorg Handverg, spokesperson of the Cockpit pilot syndicate. He pointed out that the purpose of the pilots is to receive an offer by the German carrier and then the strike will end.

Lufthansa pilots in Germany said they will extend strike action until Nov. 26 and target long-haul flights, further raising pressure on management in a long-running pay dispute.
Lufthansa Pilots Strike Continues, 10 Flights Cancelled
The strike of pilots working for German carrier Lufthansa will continue on Friday as well. Flights of the company to and from Sofia on Friday have been cancelled, announced Sofia Airport.
A total of 10 flights have been cancelled - 2 to Frankfurt, 3 to Munich and 5 to Sofia.
