Union intervenes as Wolt starts tagging couriers
Ljubljana – The Mladi Plus youth trade union, which has been pushing for improved working conditions at food delivery companies Wolt and Glovo, intervened in Ljubljana on Friday as Wolt started tagging its couriers to curb traffic violations. Opposition to the tagging was also announced by Labour Minister Luka Mesec.

Left leadership gets vote of confidence, mandate for coalition talks
Ljubljana – The council of the Left on Friday endorsed the party’s executive committee, headed by coordinator Luka Mesec, after the committee put their mandate for a vote of confidence. The party leadership has been given the mandate for talks with the Freedom Movement to enter a coalition headed by Robert Golob.
Parliamentary body endorsees changes in education
Ljubljana – The parliamentary Education Committee endorsed late on Friday amendments to the organisation and financing of education act, which would change the composition of school and kindergarten councils to increase the influence of the founder, as members of the opposition obstructed.

Slovenia Opposition Seeks Referendum on Defence Spending Hike
Two Slovenian opposition parties, Levica, (the Left) and the Social Democrats, SD, have submitted more than 28,000 signatures to parliament in support of a referendum against additional defence spending planned by the government.
Pact with the Left raising eyebrows within and outside coalition
The agreement on project cooperation for 2019, which is to be signed before the National Assembly is to vote tomorrow on the supplementary budget, sets out priorities for the Left that the Marjan Šarec government has pledged to implement, such as tackling precarious forms of employment, or housing policy.
