Moldova Warned About Laws Giving Security Service More Powers
Experts from the Venice Commission, an advisory body of the Council of Europe composed of independent experts on constitutional law, warned that new legislation strengthening the powers of Moldova's Information and Security Service's could have a negative effect on democracy in the country.

Vucic speaks with Sandu
BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic spoke by telephone with Moldovan President Maia Sandu on Wednesday.
Vucic and Sandu expressed mutual support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of their countries, as well as interest in development of Serbia-Moldova bilateral ties to mutual benefit, the press office of the president of Serbia said in a statement.

Moldovan president Maia Sandu on Sunday promulgated the Informational Security Law, which will ban the broadcast in Moldova of Russian TV news and political analysis.
The law, designed to counter Russian propaganda about the war in Ukraine, says that the ban will still apply after the expiration of the state of emergency established in Moldova after Russia invaded Ukraine.
