Cabinet adjustments announced following ministers’ resignations
Government spokesman Pavlos Marinakis announced adjustments to the Cabinet on Monday following the resignation of two ministers last week - Minister of State Stavros Papastavrou and Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister Yiannis Bratakos.

Gov’t aims to secure at least 120 conservative votes on same-sex marriage
With the ultimate aim to garner the vote of at least 120 lawmakers of ruling New Democracy when it reaches Parliament, the cabinet Wednesday approved the bill on same-sex marriage.
The draft legislation was submitted for public consultation until January 31, at 9 p.m. It will then be submitted to Parliament where lawmakers will vote on it on February 12.

Government officials to survey fire-affected areas in Evros
A government delegation embarked on a visit to assess the areas affected by the fires in Evros, in northeastern Greece, on Monday.
Heading the delegation is State Minister Makis Voridis, who is joined by Citizen Protection Minister Ioannis Oikonomou, Rural Development and Food Minister Lefteris Avgenakis, and Alternate Interior Minister Thodoris Livanios.

In an interview with Real FM, Voridis discussed the recent announcements by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis in Parliament regarding private third level education.

New government spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis announced the new ministerial cabinet of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Monday.
Several prominent ministers were shuffled into new positions, including former foreign minister Nikos Dendias assuming the Defense Ministry and former digital governance minister Kyriakos Pierrakakis taking over as education minister.

Lists for European elections considered
If reelected, the government of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will reportedly seek the return of lists for European elections.
A list election is one in which eligible voters within a specific constituency vote for a list or lists of candidates. This differs from candidate elections, in which voters can only vote for individual candidates.
