Gateway to Cappadocia ready for summer

The landscaping works and the construction of walking paths that have been continuing in Soğanlı Valley, known as the gateway to Cappadocia, will be finished soon.

Thanks to the recent works, the number of tourists in the valley has increased as they have the opportunity to view the historic structure from the air with the hot air balloons operated every day.

Homeless in Athens get basic essentials for winter

Athens Municipality has started to distribute backpacks filled with basic essentials for the winter to homeless people in the city.

On Thursday evening, street work teams distributed backpacks to homeless people, each of which contained sleeping bags, blankets, jackets, water resistant trousers, thermos flasks, flashlights and whistles.

GPS signal from wireless headphones leads police to airport thief

A member of the ground staff at Athens International Airport has confessed to stealing valuables from passengers' luggage on at least 70 occasions after police tracked him down by following the GPS signal from a pair of wireless headphones which he had stolen from a tourist's suitcase.
